Joe and I shot a wedding in Gilroy this last weekend so we decided it would be fun to head up to San Francisco afterwards to celebrate my Birthday. It’s been a few years since we’ve been back to San Francisco. Needless to say, we were uber excited!

Once there, we made sure to hit all of our favorite spots. First stop was the Golden Gate Bridge. Furthermore, I attempted to take a few evening timed exposures of the bridge but Karl (the clever nickname given to the fog that often descends within the Bay) wouldn’t have it. So I took a few photographs of Karl, the next day, instead. He’s a nice enough guy, he’s just a bit of an air head, a little shady and completely vaporous. After a few photographs, Joe and I needed a break. So we headed to the Wharf!

Most of our stops actually revolved around The Wharf, probably because Joe and I are completely food obsessed. For example, purchasing a baguette from Boudin, a candied apple from the Chocolate Store, and a plate full of crab from Alioto’s were all musts. Our taste buds were on cloud nine all weekend. Our last day was spent on Crissy Beach where we met up with Karl one last time. Say what you will about Karl but he is extremely photogenic, especially during the Fall and Winter months.

It truly was the Best. Birthday. Ever. If you don’t believe me, check out the clip….

Here’s a fun side fact, the Dodgers were actually playing the Giants this weekend and yes, Joe got mad sh*t for wearing this hat.
